We are looking for a Junior Soil Lab Technician who wants to contribute to a world where soil health, biodiversity, and sustainable agriculture go hand in hand.

As a Junior Soil Lab Technician, you play a key role in our research processes and contribute to the development of our methods. Our research focuses on soil life, particularly nematodes (soil-dwelling roundworms). You will work closely with a small team of soil biologists, assisting in soil sample analysis, conducting experiments, and processing data.

Your tasks include:

• Extracting nematodes from soil samples
• Measuring soil samples using our automated microscope
• Recording, analyzing, and verifying data
• Preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment
• Assisting in the development and optimization of new methods
• Discussing research results in team meetings

• You have completed an MBO or HBO degree, preferably in (soil) biology, laboratory technology, biotechnology, or chemistry
• You have an affinity for working in a (soil) laboratory and a hands-on mentality
• You are precise and structured in your work
• You are eager to learn and driven by innovation and new techniques
• You have a proactive mindset and think in solutions
• You can work both independently and as part of a team
• You have a good command of English (minimum B2 level)
